Consulting engineering firm WSP Canada has hired Lucy Casacia to serve as vice-president (VP) of its ‘smart solutions’ business.

Casacia’s experience includes eight years of senior roles with Siemens Canada, most recently leading business development for its ‘smart cities’ practice and delivering ‘intelligent infrastructure’ systems to public and private clients across the country. In her new role, she will provide leadership and strategic direction for WSP’s intelligent and connected infrastructure services.

“Lucy’s client-centric approach and technical expertise will greatly benefit our team,” says Greg Northcott, WSP Canada’s chief operating officer (COO). “She is actively engaged with a network of key decision makers and experts. We are confident we can lead the market in the connected and intelligent infrastructure space.”

“We know the world is changing,” says Casacia. “If we think as clients and deliver like partners, we will differentiate ourselves in the market.”
