The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Canada (ACEC) has named Lawrence Lukey, P.Eng., partner and president of Saskatoon-based BCL Engineering, to chair its board of directors for the 2019-2020 term. The announcement was made at the ACEC national leadership conference in Ottawa last week.

Lukey joined the board in 2015 and has served on numerous committees. During his term as chair, he will be responsible for promoting the role of consulting engineers in Canadian society, strengthening relationships with government officials, increasing engagement with ACEC members and promoting best practices for procurement, such as qualifications-based selection (QBS).

“Lawrence’s long-time dedication to our association and the industry has been a great asset to our board,” says ACEC’s president and CEO, John Gamble, P.Eng. “His passion for our sector and commitment to furthering ACEC’s strategic objectives will ensure the interests of our members remain top-of-mind.”
