JLR names new Chief Electrical Engineer

J.L. Richards & Associates Ltd. (JLR) has appointed James O’Connor to the position of Chief Electrical Engineer of the firm.

Since joining JLR in 2006, O’Connor became a senior electrical engineer and associate in 2014. Prior to JLR, he was employed in the manufacturing and high-tech industry, specializing in the areas of manufacturing automation, preventive maintenance, and quality control systems.

At JLR, O’Connor is responsible for the design of commercial, municipal, and industrial facilities in Canada and overseas. He also has extensive field experience in the evaluation of existing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

In his new role, O’Connor will be responsible for managing the technical resources of the firm’s electrical engineering sector, and will act as JLR’s official representative in all technical matters related to this field.
