Golder has announced a “merger” with HB Lanarc Consultants of British Columbia. HB Lanarc specializes in sustainable design and planning and has approximately 40 people located in offices in Nanaimo and Vancouver, B.C. H.B. Lanarc will continue to operate under its own name for now, and according to a press release, “will continue its mission to proactively address the challenges of our times — urbanisation, infrstructure challenges, demographic shifts, climate change, food security, economic vitality, ecological interity, energy security, and engaged governance.”

SNC-Lavalin has acquired Aqua Data, a company of around 100 employees that specializes in water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The company was founded in 1987 and has specialized expertise in areas such as computerized diagnosis, analysis and hydraulic modelling. It has several offices in Quebec, one in Nova Scotia, and one in Tampa, Florida.

Francis Lebuis, president of Aqua Data, said in a release: “This is a win-win situation for both our companies. Our specialized expertise, proprietary equipment and computerized tools bring added value to SNC-Lavalin’s service offering, and Aqua Data will benefit from SNC-Lavalin’s global presence in the infrastructure and water sectors.”
