GENIVAR Income Fund has completed its conversion from an income trust structure to a publicly traded corporation. The new common shares will commence trading as GENIVAR Inc. on the Toronto Stock Exchange on January 4, 2011 under the symbol “GNV.” GENIVAR has expanded over the past few years and now has 4,500 staff in 85 locations in Canada and internationally.

IBI Group, a Toronto-based firm that provides planning and design consulting services in the urban land, building, transportation and systems sectors, has also finalized its conversation from an income trust to a corporate entity. The group’s common shares should begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “IBG” on January 4.
