Lawyers Sharon Vogel and Bruce Reynolds, two leaders in Canadian construction law, are the anchor partners in a new Toronto law firm, Singleton Reynolds.
The firm was formed when Vancouver-based Singleton Urquhart LLP opened its Toronto office on January 2, 2018 creating Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP (the firm now goes by Singleton Reynolds in both Toronto and Vancouver).
Reynolds and Vogel were previously with Borden Ladner Gervais in Toronto, and the duo have been very involved in the recent reforming of Ontario’s Construction Lien Act.
Their associate, James Little, also joins the Construction and Infrastructure practice group, and Peter Wardle is a leading member of its Commercial Litigation practice group.
“We are very excited about this next step in our firm’s history,” said managing partner and founder John Singleton, Q.C. “The addition of this highly experienced team in Toronto means we have deepened our bench strength both nationally and internationally within the construction and infrastructure sectors, as well as added significant experience to our commercial litigation practice.”
“With a combined team of almost 60 lawyers, Singleton Reynolds will be a powerhouse in the construction and infrastructure space,” said Bruce Reynolds. “The synergies between our highly ranked Vancouver practice and our new Toronto team complement each other perfectly, and the positive reaction from the construction industry has already been overwhelming.”
“We are looking forward to expanding the firm’s already well-established footprint in the construction industry,” said Sharon Vogel, “particularly given the explosive growth of infrastructure development in recent years.”
