CH2M HILL was at the Engineers Without Borders national conference in Toronto last week promoting their Global Engineering Award. Peter Nicol, the global business development director of the water business group at CH2M HILL, spoke at the event about the program, which is a partnership between the company and EWB.

The program invites students in Ontario to submit a short video that answers the simple question, “What would/will you do to make a world of difference?” The invitation continues: “Do you recognize your potential? Are you ready to tackle the world’s most challenging problems in a way that will transform your profession? Are you passionate about change, in all the ways change can manifest? As a member of the next generation of engineering professionals, which of the areas named in the Montreal Engineering Declaration or the Grand Challenges are you most drawn to solving? Why and where will you start? Tell us how you want to make a world of difference.

Entrants have the chance of winning one of three scholarship prizes totalling $10,000. The deadline to submit is 11.59 p.m., January 31, 2014. Entrants have to be registered engineering students in the Province of Ontario.
