The Canadian National Master Specification now available through Building Systems Design

NMS contains approximately 750 master specifications, content that reflects the expertise of authorities on specifications, contract documents and construction technology.

Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) has initiated an exclusive North American alliance with Building Systems Design (BSD), a provider of specification content and software for the architecture, engineering, construction and owner sectors, through which BSD will now provide the Canadian National Master Specification (NMS) at a dedicated site: www.specmarket.com (price: $2,550).

The NMS is a comprehensive public works master specification designed to assist firms with specification-writing.

CSC is a national non-profit association serving the construction industry since 1954 and a provider of the NMS for over 40 years.

The NMS contains approximately 750 master specifications in both English and French and is owned and maintained by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with CSC to broaden access to high-quality content for firms working in the United States and Canada,” said Chris Anderson, CEO of BSD in a company media release. “With BSD’s SpecLink Cloud platform, customers will have access to the right content for the job, whether public or private, and SpecLink Cloud will become the first database solution to enable access to robust Canadian and U.S. content within the same platform.”

“BSD’s vision for advancing construction specifications aligns nicely with our mission to provide progressive education and opportunities for the design and construction community,” said Nick Franjic, executive director of CSC, in the release. “We’re excited to work together in bringing CSC members and the Canadian construction industry a trusted source for comprehensive content and innovative software to make their day-to-day jobs easier and more efficient.”
