Fransen Engineering provides consulting services to industrial clients. It has special expertise in water treatment and tailings management for oil sands producers. It employs about 180 people.

Tetra Tech says the acquisition of Fransen Engineering is a strong complement to its process engineering capabilities after its acquisition of BPR of Quebec in October last year.

Tetra Tech now has about 3,300 employees in Canada.
