Courtright is a chartered professional accountant (CPA) and certified general accountant (CGA) with experience in non-profit financial management. He will support ACEC president and CEO John Gamble by overseeing financial reporting and information systems, ensuring budgets are aligned with strategic plans and objectives, keeping the board of directors informed and managing the administration and human resources (HR) departments.

“With his considerable qualifications and professionalism, Michael will play a key role within our association,” says Gamble.

To help ensure a seamless transition, Carrière will remain at ACEC until the end of this month. He is the organization’s longest-serving employee, having joined in early 1998 in the position Courtright is now taking on.

“I have come to recognize and appreciate the level of commitment and dedication consulting engineers demonstrate every day, with an overall objective of improving the quality of life of all Canadians,” says Carrière.

“Jean-Marc has played a direct role in ACEC’s evolution over two decades, where we are today and where we are heading in the future,” says Gamble.
