30 by 2030 females is the goal

In a concerted effort to increase the proportion of women in the engineering profession, Engineers Canada has adopted a “30 by 2030” strategic objective.

The goal is to have 30% of licensed engineers to be women by 2030. The current ratio is 10%, whereas the overall Canadian workforce is split 50-50% between the sexes.

Based in Ottawa, Engineers Canada is the national umbrella organization for the provincial and territorial associations that license engineers.
