ACEC-BC has new award for clients; CEO invites entries

The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of BC (ACEC-BC) has announced it is creating a new award to be presented annually to the most outstanding client as nominated by ACEC-BC members. The award recognizes the importance of acknowledging clients who engage with consulting engineers effectively and appropriately. The nomination may be based on one specific project or the client’s approach over a period of time. A call for submissions will be issued by November 15, and will close January 15. Consulting Engineers of Ontario is inviting its 200 member firms to submit entries for the 2016 Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards. Projects entered must have been completed to the client’s satisfaction in the period from January 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. Five Awards of Excellence will be given according to the firm size for projects completed either in Ontario or outside the province (provided they were managed by an in-Ontario office). Categories include firms with 1 to 25 employees, firms with 26 to 50 employees, firms with 51 to 100 employees, firms with 101 to 350 employees and firms with more than 351 employees.
