Tech Notes: Latest research on earthquake engineering for structures published

WIT Press has released a new book: Earthquake Resistant Engineering Structures IX. It contains most of the papers presented at the 9th International Conference on Earthquake Resistant Engineering Structures Conference, held in A Coruña, Spain in 2013. The biennial conference, first held in 1996, covers research to gain a better understanding of earthquakes and related phenomena and how to design buildings that are resistant to damages from them, and how to retrofit existing buildings to protect them from damage.

The book includes contributions from Canadian engineers at the University of New Brunswick, University of Ottawa and University of Toronto.
