More than 400 people in North America have become accredited Green Roof Professionals since the program was launched in June 2009.
According to Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, the Toronto-based organization that runs the accreditation program: “This milestone demonstrates the need for recognized professionals in the green roof and wall industry.”
The accredited individuals have completed a multi-disciplinary examination that covers pre-design, design, contract management, quality assurance and support, and maintenance. Accreditation provides continuing education credits for LEED.
