Canada has more ice rinks than any other country in the world, yet the majority are very inefficient in their energy consumption.

Vancouver-based SWICH Services Inc., a company that sources energy and emission friendly technologies from around the world, has released its Arena Guide Go Green framework for rinks, providing information for arena operators on how to improve facility performance.

They have developed a systematic approach and tool to provide a simple yet comprehensive roadmap to reduce emissions from the facility.

The Arena Guide’s Go Green framework features 55 ideas and suggestions to lower an arena’s footprint.
