Most of the Atlantic provinces have joined the WoodWORKS! program to encourage the use of wood in commercial and municipal construction projects.

On January 10, New Brunswick’s Economic Development Minister Paul Robichaud announced: “This joint initiative is a wonderful opportunity to help promote our forest products industry to the rest of the world… The Atlantic WoodWORKS initiative will assist our producers and our wood sector.”

Run by the Canadian Wood Council, the WoodWORKS program is being supported by Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador in the Maritime provinces. British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec already have the program.
