U.S. water and wastewater industry prepares for Ebola

The American Water Works Association (AWWA)  is holding a webinar about risks and precautions that drinking water and wastewater operations should take regarding the Ebola virus.

The American Water Works Association (AWWA)  is holding a webinar about risks and precautions that drinking water and wastewater operations should take regarding the Ebola virus.

“Preparing for Ebola in the Water Sector” is being held on November 6 at 1.00 to 2.00 p.m. EST.

AWWA says the webinar will include experts’ perspectives on current Ebola research as it relates to drinking and wastewater operations, including the most recent safety guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. Enviornmental Protection Agency.

It will also provide principles for pandemic planning as part of an all-hazard risk management plan for “business continuity and operational resilience.”
