First Nations meeting to discuss infrastructure

The Assembly of First Nations is convening a national Housing and Infrastructure Forum over the next few days in Winnipeg.  The Forum, held November 1-3 at the RBC Convention Centre, is to hear discussions on a First Nations-led national housing strategy, infrastructure programs, housing reform, sanitation programs and action on safe drinking water.

Speakers  include AFN National Chief Perry Bellegarde; AFN Manitoba Regional Chief and portfolio holder for housing, Kevin Hart; Premier of Manitoba, Brian Pallister; Senator Lillian Dyck; Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, Carolyn Bennett; and Deputy Mayor of Winnipeg, Jenny Gerbasi.
