CEO’s chief executive officer Barry Steinberg and Metrolinx president and chief executive officer Bruce McCuaig signed the MOU to establish a Joint Transit Engineering Council.

The council’s mandate is to be a forum for discussion and consultation on the transit agency’s “Big Move” capital construction program.

• specifications;

• contracts and documents;

• delivery models.

At the 2014 Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards, McCuaig was a keynote speaker and said: “I don’t think there are any major infrastructure policy decisions that can be taken in this province without consulting with CEO.”

Announcing the MOU, Steinberg said, “This is a very exciting time for CEO.” He said the council “will be made up of members from CEO and Metrolinx leadership who have experience in engineering procurement, and contract administration policies and practices.”
