Mott MacDonald hires Digital Delivery Leader

Based in Seattle, Jay Mezher will participate in Digital Delivery strategic planning and will expand Mott MacDonald’s project delivery capabilities through the implementation of new and emerging tools and progressive workflows.

Jay Mezher, a licensed architect with more than 20 years experience, has joined Mott MacDonald as Digital Delivery Leader for the North American region.

Based in Seattle, Mezher will participate in Digital Delivery strategic planning and will expand Mott MacDonald’s project delivery capabilities through the implementation of new and emerging tools and progressive workflows.

“Digital delivery has become a strategic advantage in a competitive marketplace,” said Nick DeNichilo, President and CEO of Mott MacDonald for North America in a company release. “Jay Mezher’s expertise will help us to leverage virtual design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other digital approaches to deliver projects faster and at lower cost.”

With more than 17 years at WSP in the U.S., Mezher has participated in projects including California High-Speed Rail, the Amtrak B&P Tunnel in Baltimore, East Side Access, the Second Avenue Subway, LaGuardia International Airport, the Eurasia Tunnel in Istanbul, and many others.

He has also published articles and given presentations on BIM and virtual design, and has taught at the Autodesk University conference and at George Mason University. He was honoured for the innovative use of BIM and design software at the 2013 New Civil Engineer International Tunneling Awards, and has won awards for his work on the Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement project.
