IT enclosure designed as midway alternative

Rittal Systems of Mississauga, Ont., has introduced the free-standing VX SE information technology (IT) enclosure system for ‘midway’ applications where compact enclosures are too small, but baying enclosures are too large.
The VX SE is available in sizes from 300 mm deep to 1.8 m wide. Material options include stainless and carbon steel. It is compatible with other Rittal products, such as the TS 8 baying system.
“That means panel builders who transition to the VX SE do not have to make major adjustments in terms of engineering, assembly or component installation,” says Troy Miesse, industrial automation product manager for Rittal. “Everything stays the same.”
The VX SE’s body is produced from a single piece for purposes of stability and torsional rigidity. There are no gaps between its solid side panels, roof and frame.
