Quebec mining industry booming

Quebec reports that its mining industry broke records in 2011. It saw investments of $3.92 billion, an increase of 35% over 2010. This was the eighth consecutive annual rise in investment in the industry.

Indications point to 2012 being another boom year, with figures expected to jump 37% to $5.39 billion.
