Professional Engineers of Ontario named Patrick J. Quinn, P.Eng. of Toronto as its 87th President at its annual meeting in Toronto on April 29. This is the second time he has acted as president, following a term in 1999-2000.
Mr. Quinn is the co-founder of Quinn Dressel Associates, a well known structural engineering firm in Toronto whose portfolio includes the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto, the Royal Bank Plaza in Toronto, the Calgary City Hall and the Stock Exchange Centre in Shanghai.
The association also inducted six people into its Order of Honour for their outstanding volunteer contributions. Two consulting engineers were included in the list: Richard Walter Braddock, P.Eng., president of Mitchell, Pound & Braddock and Jerry Dudzic, P.Eng., president of Norstar Consulting.
