Consulting Engineers of Alberta has a new award to recognize the accomplishments of an individual engineer in consulting engineering. The newly created Alberta Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Distinguished Achievement will be given on Friday, February 2, 2007 at the CEA’s gala Showcase Awards event at the Calgary Stampede Roundup Centre. The honourable Norman L. Kwong, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta will be in attendance to give the award.
The association is also creating the Engineers with Consulting Engineers of Alberta Recognition Awards to celebrate other individuals who have made contributions to the community and society at large.
The deadline to submit “intent to nominate” forms for the programs is November 1. The official submissions are due December 1, 2006.
