Innovators’ chance to win $100,000

The Ernest C. Manning Awards Foundation is soliciting entries by Canadian innovators. A first prize of $100,000 will be awarded, no matter how big or small the developed item. The awards have been given since 1982, and winners include an artificial knee, the V chip, and the flat electric plug. Nominations close on February 15. A second prize of $25,000 and two at $10,000 each are also given.
