The province of Manitoba has introduced a province-wide geothermal program which includes financial assistance for commercial building owners.
Commercial building owners who install geothermal heating and cooling systems are eligible to receive up to 10% of the value the systems. Building owners who install district geothermal service systems might be eligible for up to $150,000.
The province is promoting the geothermal energy industry. So far over 6,000 Manitobans have converted to geothermal heating and cooling systems.
The Manitoba Geothermal Energy Alliance is helping to implement the program. See www.mgea.ca
