At its annual meeting in Saint John in April, Consulting Engineers of New Brunswick passed a motion to rename itself the “Association of Canadian Engineering Companies of New Brunswick.” The acronym will be ACEC-New Brunswick.
The French version of the name was changed to, “Association des Firmes d’Ingenierie Canadiennes du Nouveau-New Brunswick. The acronym will be AFIC Nouveau Brunswick.
CENB was formed in 1982.
The move followed a similar name switch at the national level from the Canadian Association of Consulting Engineers to the Association of Canadian Engineering Companies. Ontario and British Columbia have also changed their names accordingly.
