Consulting Engineers of Alberta handed out the 2008 Showcase Awards on February 1. This year’s theme for the celebrations, which were held at the Shaw Centre in Edmonton, was a “Black and White Affair.”
Congratulations to the following firms who won Awards of Excellence:
AMEC for the Application of Ground Penetrating Radar for River Ice Surveys in the Athabasca River (studies, software and special projects category);
CH2M Hill for the Glencoe Storm Sewer Upgrade in Calgary (community development, environmental, water resources categories), and for the Public Art Plan for the Expressive Potential of Utility Infrastructure in Calgary (community outreach category);
ISL Engineering and Land Services for the Driftpile Water Treatment and System Upgrade in Driftpile First Nation (project management category);
MMM Group for the Anthony Henday Drive SE Ring Road (transportation category);
Stantec Consulting for the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (building engineering, sustainable design categories).
