One of Canada’s largest and oldest consulting engineering firms, Acres, has formed a new merger with a company in Atlantic Canada. It has joined with SGE Group to form SGE Acres Limited.
The SGE Group was founded in 1972 and specializes in municipal infrastructure, transportation and industrial engineering. It has 100 employees in offices in St. John’s, Corner Brook, Clarenville, Moncton and Halifax.
Tony Hylton, the recently appointed president of Acres International based in Toronto, said: “I am delighted with this merger. SGE Acres will have the scale and capability to participate more significantly in the growth and development of the Atlantic Region…. This will create a growing firm and attract the considerable engineering talent in the region towards our company.”
