It was with deep sadness that we heard Allen Williams was killed on Sunday afternoon, October 28. He was piloting a small plane that crashed shortly after it took off from Golden, B.C. at around 1 p.m.
Mr. Williams (65) was chief executive officer and founder of A.D. Williams Engineering of Edmonton, a company he started in 1978. He is a former president of Consulting Engineers of Alberta and was chair of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada (ACEC) in 2004-2005.
Also killed in the crash was Steven T. Sutton, the chief financial officer of A.D. Williams Engineering. Allen Williams’ granddaughter who was also on the plane was rescued by helicopter and has survived and is in good condition.
