A highway improvement project in Ottawa announced this month will generate more than $27 million in construction activity.Industry Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and the City of Ottawa will share he costs of improvements to Woodroffe Avenue and Fallowfield Road, as part of the Canada-Ontario Infrastructure program. The project includes widening the roads from two to four lanes, and the construction of two railway underpasses and a public transit underpass, sidewalks, pathways and bicycle lanes — all to be completed by 2006.
