SNC-Lavalin buys U.K. rail company

SNC-Lavalin of Montreal has acquired a rail technology consulting group in the United Kingdom known as Interfleet Technology. Interfleet was founded in 1994 during the U.K.’s rail privatization movement. It now has almost 600 staff in 22 locations through Europe, Australia, India and North America. It specializes in rolling stock, railway systems, and railway management.
