Reliable Controls Awarded BACnet 2017 Project of the Year

The award recognizes the controls system used in the construction of the Air Mobility Training Centre, CFB Trenton, located in Trenton, Ontario.

controlsAt the 2017 ControlTrends Awards in Las Vegas, held on January 29, Reliable Controls received the 2017 Project of the Year award, presented by BACnet International, for work on the construction of the Air Mobility Training Centre (AMTC), CFB Trenton, located in Trenton, Ontario.

The AMTC, built to house the equipment and personnel required to train pilots and maintenance crews for the new CC-320J Hercules aircraft purchased by the Canadian Forces, also provides support to troops serving in combat as well as for peace keeping and humanitarian missions around the world.

According to a release announcing the award, the site is equivalent to two football fields, and the LEED Silver certified facility consists of a combination of 2- and 3-storey educational and office spaces, designed and built to accommodate the latest in aircrew and technician simulation, making it one of the most advanced flight training facilities in the world.

The facility now benefits from remote access, integration to a large WAN for multiple buildings, and creative programming encompassing energy saving modes within the building.

Reliable Controls authorized dealer R.E.L. Controls Inc. completed the new construction project almost $20 million under budget.
