Engineers Canada has new CEO

Kim Allen, P.Eng. starts work September 11 as the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers Canada. Engineers Canada is the Ottawa-based national organization of the 12 provincial and territorial associations that license engineers.

Kim Allen, P.Eng. starts work September 11 as the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers Canada. Engineers Canada is the Ottawa-based national organization of the 12 provincial and territorial associations that license engineers.

Allen was previously at the helm of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), where he was Chief Executive Officer and Registrar for over a decade.

In a release, Catherine Karakatsanis, P.Eng., president of Engineers Canada, said: “The Board looks forward to working with Mr. Allen in his new role. His strategic thinking, experience and leadership are an excellent complement to our team. We are eager to start working with him in our role to support the very important regulatory work done by our constituent associations and provide leadership to the engineering profession.”
