Klaas Rodenburg of Stantec has led the design for the first net-zero energy Habitat for Humanity Home. The home is being built of precast concrete by Lafarge North America in Edmonton. Rodenburg presented the project on October 4 at the international Greenbuild Conference being held in Toronto.

Gary Tencha has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Transportation Canada at Morrison Hershfield. Previously he  led the company’s transportation group in Western Canada.

Luigi (Lou) Bruno has joined AECOM in Mississauga, Ontario as vice president of its Minerals and Metals practice in North America. He comes to AECOM with extensive experience in the global mining and material handling sectors.

CH2M HILL has donated $150,000 to Water For People, for its two-month campaign “Donate to Drink.” The funds will be used for projects in Africa, Asia, Central America and South America to further the organization’s mission that on one should suffer or die from a water or sanitation related disease.
