A Canadian company based in Oakville, west of Toronto, is designing and building the world’s largest retractable aluminum roof for a water park in Ukraine.
The Royal Marine Aquapark dome is being built by OpenAire in Donetsk for a facility that is due to open in the fall of 2011.
The free-standing aluminum dome is 26 metres high and 85 metres in diameter
OpenAire provides retractable roofs around the world, and this is the second retractable roof that it has constructed in the Ukraine. The company previously built a retractable skylight for a water park in Brovary Park near Kiev.
